Instructions

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  • Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside.

Preparing the Meat Sauce

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and brown thoroughly for about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Allow it to simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Combining the Dish

  • Toss the drained bowtie pasta into the skillet with the meat sauce to combine.
  • Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  • Serve hot, garnished with torn fresh basil leaves.
