For Cooking

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Sprinkle in the taco seasoning mix and pour in the water. Stir and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Warm the flour tortillas in another pan or microwave for 15-20 seconds.
  • Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each tortilla and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Fold the tortillas into pockets, securing the filling inside.

Cooking

  • In a clean skillet, heat more oil over medium heat. Cook the tortilla pockets seam side down for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Let them cool before slicing in half. Serve with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
