  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey Juicy and tender for substantial flavor.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Brings classic taco flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Creamy and melty, binds everything together.
  • 1/2 cup salsa Adds a burst of tangy flavor.
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional) Optional for added depth of flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish) For a fresh pop of color.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and salsa, cooking for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough onto a flat surface, separating into triangular sections.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the taco meat mixture on the wide end of each triangle, then top with shredded cheese and olives if using.
  • Roll the triangles from the wide end, pinching the seam to seal the filling. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Let cool slightly, garnish with chopped green onions and serve with extra salsa.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for best results. Drain meat thoroughly to avoid sogginess. Allow to cool slightly before serving for best texture.
