  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about an inch thick.
  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Once hot, place your patties on the grill or skillet and cook them for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • In the final minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt over the top.
  • While the cheese melts, prepare your secret sauce by mixing together the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and pickle relish in a small bowl.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet until they’re golden brown and slightly crispy.

Assembly

  • Spread a generous amount of the secret sauce on the bottom bun, then add the patty with melted cheese.
  • Top with fresh lettuce, slices of tomato, and pickles before closing the burger with the top bun.
  • Serve your Crack Burgers immediately while they’re hot and fresh.

Notes

For enhanced flavors, consider adding smoked paprika to the beef mixture. Adding jalapeños to the toppings can add a spicy kick. Prepare the secret sauce a day in advance for intensified flavors.
