  • 1/2 cup Cholula brand Original hot sauce adjust for spice level
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups cooked, chopped chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella or Cheddar Cheese divided
  • 1-2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream to drizzle for creaminess
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh parsley or green onions, blue cheese crumbles for garnishing (optional)
  • 1 loaf baguette sliced, buttered, and toasted

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a large deep skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the finely diced onions and celery. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
  • Lower the heat and incorporate the cream cheese, stirring until it fully melts.
  • Mix in sour cream, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and Cholula hot sauce.
  • Add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley to the mixture.
  • Fold in the chopped chicken breast.
  • Stir in 1/2 to 3/4 cup of shredded cheese until melted.
  • Drizzle in the heavy whipping cream for extra creaminess.

Cooking

  • Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and cover it with the remaining cheese.
  • Place it under the broiler on low until the cheese is melted and browned.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or green onions and optional blue cheese crumbles.
  • Pair it with sliced, buttered, and toasted baguette for dipping.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure it melts evenly. Customize heat by adjusting the hot sauce amount. Broil just until golden for best texture.
