Ingredients

For the Grilled Pineapple

  • 1 whole fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adding a touch of natural sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Infusing a zesty brightness
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) Offering warm spice undertones
  • a pinch salt To enhance the flavors

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine honey and lime juice. Mix in cinnamon and salt if desired.
  • Brush both sides of the pineapple rings with the honey mixture.

Grilling

  • Place the pineapple on the hot grill and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until grill marks appear and the pineapple softens.
  • Remove from the grill and serve immediately. Optionally, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the pineapple rings marinate in the honey mixture for 30 minutes before grilling. Consider adding spices like nutmeg or cayenne pepper for a twist. Fresh mint can also enhance the taste.
