Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm.
  • In a small bowl, combine a few tablespoons of the warm milk mixture with cocoa powder and whisk until smooth.
  • Return the cocoa mixture to the saucepan and stir until fully combined.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and non-alcoholic Irish cream, mixing well.
  • Allow this mixture to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least two hours or overnight.

Churning

  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Transfer churned ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for a minimum of four hours.

Serving

  • Scoop out the Homemade Baileys Ice Cream and serve it in a bowl, garnishing with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings if desired.
