  • 1/4 cup honey For sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Adds umami flavor.

Preparation

  • Season the chicken tenders with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Set up a breading station with shallow dishes for flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Coating the Chicken

  • Dip each seasoned chicken tender into flour, then into the egg wash, and finally press into panko breadcrumbs.
  • Ensure each chicken tender is well-coated.

Cooking

  • Place coated chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

Making the Sauce

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey and soy sauce, allowing to simmer until it thickens slightly.

Serving

  • Once chicken is cooked, toss in the honey garlic sauce or drizzle over before serving.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for added flavor. For a spicier variant, mix in sriracha or chili paste into the sauce.
