Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Stir in the melted unsalted butter and milk.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently to combine, then fold in the hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips (if using).

Baking

  • Transfer the batter to your prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, allow the batter to rest for 20 minutes before baking. Store leftovers wrapped at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
