Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a bundt or fluted tube pan by spraying it with cooking spray and dusting it with flour.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, sour cream, oil, eggs, lemon juice, lemon peel, and lime peel. Use an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, then on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan evenly.
Baking
Bake for 40 to 44 minutes. To test for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
Once baked, cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the frosting and lemon and lime juice. Microwave for 20-40 seconds, stirring until smooth and pourable.
Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the frosting over the top.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Do not overmix the batter to keep it fluffy.
