Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a bundt or fluted tube pan by spraying it with cooking spray and dusting it with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, sour cream, oil, eggs, lemon juice, lemon peel, and lime peel. Use an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, then on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 40 to 44 minutes. To test for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  • Once baked, cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the frosting and lemon and lime juice. Microwave for 20-40 seconds, stirring until smooth and pourable.
  • Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the frosting over the top.
