  • In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and remaining sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and pink food coloring, ensuring even color distribution.
  • Gradually alternate adding the dry mixture and buttermilk to the butter mixture, folding gently to maintain airiness.
  • Stir in the white vinegar last.

Notes
