Ingredients

Lobster Base

  • 4 pieces 10-oz Lobster tails Thawed if frozen

Butter Mixture

  • 1/4 cup Salted butter, melted To create a creamy base
  • 2 cloves Garlic, crushed For a fragrant punch
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice Adding a refreshing zing
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika Contributing warmth and depth
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper Offering just the right kick

Instructions

Preparation

  • Thaw the lobster tails properly. If frozen, let them sit in the fridge overnight or submerge in cold water for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the broiler to 500°F (260°C) and position the oven rack about 4 to 5 inches from the broiler.
  • Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the center of the lobster shell without cutting through; pull the meat upwards to rest it on a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until blended.

Cooking

  • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster meat. Place under the broiler and cook for about 10 minutes (1 minute per ounce), watching for opaque color and golden brown edges.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs like parsley or chives before serving. Let the lobster meat soak in the butter mixture for a few minutes before broiling for richer flavor.
