  • Divide the dough in half and roll out one portion to about 1/4-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  • Use cookie cutters to cut out heart shapes or other festive shapes.
  • Place the cut-out cookies onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cooling on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate the cooled cookies with frosting, sprinkles, or other festive decorations.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding almond extract or food coloring to your frosting. You can also incorporate lemon zest for a refreshing twist. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
