Instructions

Preparation of Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey with soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix until well blended.

Assembling Wontons

  • Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the prepared filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water using your finger, fold the wrapper over to create a half-moon shape, and seal securely.

Cooking the Soup

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken broth and water to a rapid boil.
  • Gently add the filled wontons, taking care to avoid splashing. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the wontons float to the top.
  • Stir in the chopped bok choy and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bok choy wilts and the mushrooms are tender.

Final Touches

  • Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
